Little Rock / Potato Harvest

This is a double sided board with painting on both sides. “Little Rock” painted on the reverse side of the board and presumably more recent that the “front” was inspired by newspaper reports and photographs of the events at Little Rock, Arkansas, where federal troops were brought in to escort nine black students into Central High School in 1957. It has vivid colours and a bold style that is quite a contrast to the painting on the other side “Potato Harvest”
